Ogletree was instrumental in developing the Industrial Park and bringing Tric-C, Centry Insulation and Litton Industry into town. He was an active member of the Lions Club, Chamber of Commerce, American Rose Society and 1st Vice President of Mississippi Municipal Association. In 1975, he built and opened the Piggly Wiggly in Union. He served as Mayor of Union from 1969 to 1981. He returned to Union to join the family grocery and feed business. He served in the United States Air Force as Commissary Officer. Ogletree was born in Dixon on Septemand attended Dixon and Union schools. He was a member of the Union United Methodist Church. Ogletree passed away Sunday morning, Ma, at Laird Hospital in Union, with his family at his bedside. Burial will be in the Union City Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday Mafrom 1:30 until 4:30 at Milling Funeral Home in Union, and from 5:00 until service time at Union United Methodist Church with Rev.
